Before my spinal cord injury I was a solicitor representing motorcyclists who had sustained serious injuries such as amputations and head injuries - as well as spinal injuries – in accidents around the country.
After falling off my bike, undergoing rehabilitation in a Spinal Injuries Centre and living day to day as a paraplegic I knew I wanted to dedicate the rest of my working life to assisting those who have suffered spinal injury, their family and friends. I felt it was important to me not only concentrate on the legal side of things but also provide support on all issues from the day of the accident for life.
Over the last 10 years since my accident I have built a team at Fletchers who can not only provide legal advice but also help with issues such as rehabilitation, accommodation and care.
I represent paraplegics and tetraplegics who sustained their injuries in road collisions and also all manner of other incidents. A few examples of the type of cases I have worked on are:
-
accidents at work,
-
clients injured due to criminal assaults
-
clinical negligence cases against hospitals
-
clients falling over or tripping in public places leading to spinal injury
-
accidents that happened overseas
I truly believe I have the best job going, being able to go into the office everyday and hopefully make a positive difference to the situations of other people with spinal cord injury.
